The Finger Lakes Region DAV Chapter 15 is the oldest DAV chapter in the State of New York established January 6, 1937 by veterans of World War One.
We have been advocating for the veterans of Monroe County and surrounding areas as our organization has expanded ever since.
DAV is also a leader in connecting veterans with meaningful employment. Doing so by hosting job fairs and providing resources to ensure they have the opportunity to participate in the American Dream their sacrifices have made possible.
Another way we help locally is the RIT administered
Helen and Frederick Blaessig Annual Memorial Scholarship.
It was established in honor of Frederick Blaessig, a 1941 RIT graduate.
